WinStack - The Product

Details of our Stacking Software

logo-small is comprised of four different sections: The Header, Footer, Tenant area in the center, and the Floor sections in the left and/or right margins. The Header section is fairly straightforward. You put in the detail you want, such as the name of the building and the title of the chart. The Footer section is usually where you would want to put the name of your company and the date.

The Tenant Area or graphic section of the chart, is the heart of the Stacking Plan. Here, each floor of the building is displayed, showing what tenants occupy which floor. Generally, the tenant boxes are automatically sized in direct proportion to the amount of space they occupy on the actual floor of the building in question. You can also make them all the same size, if you wish.

Tenant boxes can convey a lot of information quickly. The color and/or shading of the box will identify which group the tenant belongs to according to the query you choose. If you decide to highlight expiration years, for example, a blue box may denote a tenant whose lease expires in 2008, while a red box may denote 2010. Legends for each of the colors and/or shades appear in the Footer section. Inside each tenant box, you can include such information as the name of the tenant and the square footage occupied. Or anything you want. The choice of font, style or color for the tenant boxes is up to you.

The Floor Section allows you to include additional detail about each of the building’s floors. For example, you may want to include the floor number and the floor’s total square footage in the left-hand margin. In the right-hand margin, you can include columns of information, such as Average Market Rate, Average Floor Base Rent, expiring square footage by year, the total square footage occupied, or the square footage vacant. (See Stacking Plan examples above.) The type and amount of information you present in the Floor section is up to you. Each "floor" in the chart adjusts in height and width to accommodate the amount of data you wish to display in the Floor sections.

With this flexible scheme, you can produce a Stacking Plan of any size, from one page to several pages, with any amount of building data you think is relevant to the presentation.
